Our History
- The CCW Group was founded in 1948 to provide warehouse and transportation
services for manufacturers and retailers. Schenker acquired The
CCW Group in February, 2003 to complement its menu of logistics
services in the United States, making it one of the strongest
in the nation. By purchasing The CCW Group, Schenker has leveraged
its international logistics expertise with CCW's deep knowledge
of warehousing, manufacturing support, and packaging services.
- Today, Schenker Logistics services provide
contract and public warehousing, transportation, manufacturing
support services, and packaging and fulfillment in - 50 strategically
located sites throughout the US with over 1,000 employees and
10 million square feet.
- Schenker Logistics is part of Schenker, one of the leading international
providers of integrated logistics services. Schenker provides
support to trade and industry in the global exchange of goods
- in land operations, in worldwide air and sea freight, and in
all other associated logistics services. About 88,000 employees
at 2,000 locations in 130 countries achieve a turnover of
18 billion euros per year.
